We were able to see 40 minutes of practice today. Here are some news of note:

- Jarquez Hunter and Caleb Wooden are back on the practice field.

- Just a personal thing I noticed, but Hugh Freeze is spending a lot more time watching other groups other than offense, which he didn't do much during his time at Liberty. He's trusting Philip Montgomery and Kent Austin to get that group going. I'm not saying he's not involved, but he spent time watching the defense as well as special teams today.

- Same groups on offensive line have basically been working together. Dylan Senda, the transfer from Northwestern, was working with group 2 at left tackle. With group four, he moved over to left guard. He is an imposing figure.

- Freeze took a second to speak to the team. They seemed to get a good amount of energy from it heading into the next session of practice.

- Jyaire Shorter was out there a lot getting many reps. He was with Groups 1, 2 and 4.

- Jeremiah Wright was really active in taking a leadership role on offense, going up and down the line giving everyone fist pumps.

- Five people fielding punters with tennis ball and football were Caleb Burton, Jay Fair, Keionte Scott, Ja'Varrius Johnson and Will Upton.

- Wide receivers and running backs were working on getting off the line of scrimmage. Defensive backs were going up against each other as well.

- During one drill for special teams, they were working on blocking. The goal was the defensive guy to stop the offensive guy from getting to the trash can.

- On defensive line, Marcus Harris was moving very well and fluidly.

- OL Jeremy Garrett was really working with Keldric Faulk on a rip drill.

We are sitting down with Wesley Steiner, D.J. James, Malcolm Johnson Jr and Tate Johnson at noon. We will have more from that.
