Positives from Baton Rouge

1. Broke the 1999 curse
2. Auburn was down early, but didn’t give up.
3. Bo Nix competed as hard as anyone I have ever seen last night. He left everything on the field.
4. Auburn defense shut down the run with only 3 defensive lineman. Auburn was daring LSU to run the ball and they still couldn’t when they tried.
5. In the celebration in the locker room, you could see that the players genuinely like Harsin. They were excited to have him in the middle to celebrate with him.
6. Bo Nix was much more accurate last night. Some he put on the money and receivers dropped.
7. Wide Receivers definitely knew how to line up better last night.
8. J. Hunter continues to produce at a very high level when given opportunities. He has been in the game on the last two game winning drives.
9. When Auburn defensive backs were given the opportunity to be aggressive they had much better results.
10. Harsin plays aggressive, even if sometimes it is not a “smart risk to take.” At least he is trying to win football games and not just playing to avoid losing.
11. Last night was a huge win for Auburn, which gives you hope for a decent bowl game.
12. Auburn offensive line did not give up a sack on a night Auburn threw almost 50 passes.

Warning Signs

1. LSU is far from elite like a Georgia and Alabama.
2. Georgia is elite and they are coming to Auburn on National television for the world to see.
3. Anders Carlson is struggling.
4. When given opportunities Auburn defensive backs have to come down with interceptions. Lineman need to be there to pounce on fumbles.
5. Thinking about next year, Auburn will be missing a ton of key players in 2022.
