Auburn's pursuit of another guard may be reaching its conclusion.

The Tigers appear to be in good position to land Miles Kelly, a 2/3 guy from Georgia Tech.

Here's what my guy in Atlanta has to say about Kelly:

"He was great as a sophomore but sucked last year. Damon Stoudamire changed their defense and he had to play man-to-man more and struggled and then his shot fell apart and he injured his back. They asked him to do more and he wilted. He is a good 3/4th option and role player but isn’t an alpha type. He needs to not be the focal point offensively. He is traditionally a really good 3-pt shooter and Ft shooter. Rebounding improved last year a lot. Defensively meh. Can’t create his own shot. Very traditional 2-guard type."

Kelly averaged 13.9 points and 5.5 rebounds for Tech last season. He shot 42.4% from 2, 32.1% from 3 and 73% from the line.

In 2022-23, he shot 45.1 from 2, 37.8 from 3 and 92.7% from the line.

He is 6-foot-6 and 180 pounds.
