One of my childhood friends, a badass named Ryan Nelson, recently suffered a “Tombstone” heart attack. He had three stents put in and now faces a triple bypass surgery next week.
He lives in a little town called Oologah, Okla., and he’s basically the mayor. Everyone adores him. He’s a good-old country boy who laughs and shakes everybody’s hand and basically champions everyone around him.
I’m asking that every Bunk, if you’re willing, offer up a prayer for ‘Nelly’ to get through this. His family and his community and his friends really need him. He’s a beacon.
