I feel obligated to tell you this against better judgment.

Since 2005, I have been collecting American Top 40 shows. Those of you of a “certain age” will remember the GOAT Casey Kasem counting down the hits on your local radio station. It was glorious. For me, it was on Saturday mornings on KMYI 94.1 San Diego’s Hottest Hits (through June 1983) and then Sunday mornings on KAYI K-107 Muskogee/Tulsa.

Today, I received the final two shows I was missing. And now I am the owner of EVERY SINGLE AT40 SHOW OF THE 1980s featuring Casey Kasem. (He left AT40 on Aug. 6, 1988.)

I feel whole. It’s taken me almost two decades of trading and sometimes buying and eight times turning vinyl into a digital file.

Still, I made it.

I will now accept your scorn and ridicule.

Thank you.
