Traded in my Model 3 for a 2023 Ford Mach E recently.
Technology wise, you can’t beat the Tesla. At least the Mach E doesn’t.
But the build quality of the Ford is so much better. I was always scared of breaking or scratching something in the Tesla.
The seats are much more comfortable. Plus I actually have heated and AC’d seats in the Mach E.
Driving experience wise, the Mach E is so much better. Not as fast and torque(y) as my dual motor was, but it just handles better and has a better accelerating feel.
Charging wise, I’m getting a NACS adapter. I kept my Tesla home charger and you need to use Teslas chargers. CCS chargers suck. But I charged it a little at a free stall at Kroger.
Sound system, maybe a push. I had premium audio in both. I almost feel like the Ford has a cleaner sound.
Speaking of sound, you can also control the sound your “mustang” makes.
Looks wise it isn’t close; my Model 3 was white on white with 19” wheels, so it didn’t look bad, but my black Ford Mach e premium looks so much better. Went from white on white to black on black. Wesley Snipes told me to do that.
I’m looking forward to trying blue cruise. It’s hands free super cruise technology and I’ve never experienced that. Tesla requires the occasional steering wheel tug on its self driving features, currently.
I’m not sure I’ll ever like ICE cars again, asides from a sports car I suppose.
We still have the Telluride. Great SUV, but once I pay it off, I’m not sure we won’t get another EV and just buy it nearly, all cash. The Telluride has held its value, greatly. I actually have equity in a car that has at least a $20K balance. So there’s that. ICE cars are holding their value better.
