There are some big runoffs locally and statewide and turnout should be low. Your vote WILL COUNT. So please get out and do it.
If anyone cares to know, the only statewide race I feel really strongly about is the runoff for the Republican nomination for Alabama Supreme Court. Judge Sarah Stewart is far and away the better option than Mendheim (who is technically the incumbent, but has only held the office as an appointee for several months). We will miss her like heck in southern Alabama, but the entire state will be better for her being in Montgomery. I can’t speak highly enough about Judge Stewart. She will do our entire state proud.
If you’re down here in Baldwin County, Billie Jo Underwood is your choice for County Commission. She’s an accountant, but has humble beginning in Baldwin County going back hundreds of years, and is the wife of a pecan farmer. She is smart and motivated but also pure Baldwin County.
