Something's been bugging me since last Monday's press conference. @Jay G. Tate asked Hew about the bye week and I couldn't believe Hew's response so I played it back. Monday they had strength and conditioning, Tuesday was a physical practice, Wednesday was a light practice and the team was rewarded with 4 days off Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I guess I'm old school but if my business is hurting and I have to right the ship I'm not taking a vacation. What message does this send to the players? I get it they were tired but the bye week is for getting back to basics and focusing on the little details. Let them have Saturday and Sunday off but 4 days? I'd love @Jay G. Tate or @BryanMatthews to ask Hew Monday if he regrets letting the team off for Fall Break?
