The Blizzard of '93 was 32 years ago today. On March 12, 1993 a snow storm hit Alabama, and when it was all said and done all 67 counties in the state had measurable snowfall. Some of the northern counties had over a foot of snow. I believe we actually got more snow in the one this past January, but what I remember about this one was the wind was crazy and we actually had "thundersnow" several times at night. It all fell during the night and was quite the site to see the next morning.
This storm also hit Florida with winds and storm surge usually associated with hurricanes.
