** We've challenged our team this week raise their level in
all areas, and our guys have responded. Our leadership is standing up and showing
up.

** Everything needs to improve. It's the time of year to
improve, raise our level and get better. That has been our message this week
and our guys have responded.

** Joshua Holsey has had a solid week of practice. He could
return to the lineup. We'll see.

** Roc Thomas practiced again. He will play. Forrest Hill is
a little different.

** Kick return has been hit and miss. It's an area we need
to work on and improve on.

** Penalties…bottom line is we had too many. We have to
figure out a way to correct them, and we will correct them.

** Nick Marshall is a winner, performs at his best when
pressure is at the highest. Nobody has a resume of winning the big ones like
Nick. Should be in the discussion for the Heisman Trophy.

** Had Ole Miss scored with 1.5 minutes left: We had a plan,
three timeouts and Nick Marshall as our quarterback. We felt good about it.

** Pass defense problems: We have to do a better job with
our zones, passing things off.

** If Jermaine Whitehead isn't returning to the defense, why
allow him back at all? That's a personal decision that the head coach makes,
and that's the decision I'm making. When he returns to the defense is between
me and him.

** Carl Lawson, until he's 100 percent healthy, will not
play.
