If Auburn hopes to add to its 2019 class with a late addition from junior college cornerback Justin Ford, it might have to wait a bit longer.
Ford, from Golden West Community College in Huntington Beach, Calif., planned to announce his commitment tomorrow (Wednesday, May 15). However, that no longer seems to be the case, according to a source.
Ford has received offers recently from Louisville, Colorado, Iowa State and Houston. He already had ones from Auburn, Utah, Boise State, Kansas and UNLV, among others.
As a result of the new offers and interest, Ford likely will postpone a commitment on Wednesday and instead name a top group, most likely a top 5.
Auburn and Utah remain atop his list, but Ford isn’t ready to make a commitment. He still has two official visits to take and likely will use at least one to one of his new schools/offers. I hope to have more on Ford tomorrow.
