Memphis (Tenn.) University School's Maurice Hampton, a four-star safety recruit, took an official visit to Auburn in December. But could Hampton return to Auburn before Signing Day? Absolutely. In fact, Hampton is planning to be back in Auburn this weekend for an unofficial visit.
Hampton, who has been committed to LSU since June 2016, was at LSU last weekend for an unofficial visit. He also took an official visit to LSU in December. Should Hampton visit Auburn this weekend, he will have visited both schools twice in the past two months.
Hampton's interest in Auburn is real, no doubt. He wouldn't be planning to return this weekend if the Tigers didn't have a chance to change his mind about LSU. It won't be easy. Again, he's been committed to LSU for 2 1/2 years. But Auburn has given him enough to think about to potentially get him back on campus.
