New Rocket Fuel Technology Allows Travel to Mars in 45 days

This is petty cool. Nuclear Thermal Propulsion (NTP) would allow travel to Mars to be made in as short as 45 days. This theory has been around since the 40's but now they have proven it works in a lab.

Anyone here know more about it and how long it might take to get a rocket with NTP into space?
