Hello Bunk,
I don't post much, but I have enjoyed the bunk for many years now. I have cried and laughed at many stories on the bunk. I hope to someday meet some of you in person. (selfish plug - I used to be a math grad student, and taught in Parker Hall when at AU while getting math degree.)
A year or so ago I looked for advice for my little one to get into AU. At the time she had scored 23 on her ACT and I was concerned she might not get in. Many people replied with advice and encouragement. I am grateful for all those that did. I spent many hours trying to help her, and she studied her rump off. We solved hundreds of ACT problems together. We got her score up to 26 and she was accepted first round this year into AU. We have made several campus tours since then. I broke down in Haley Center. I haven't been there in years and just seeing her inside knowing she will be there soon - it was too much.
I am usually a very private and reserved person, but this is too big for me to hold back. All I can say is the day she came to me and showed the acceptance letter a few words immediately came to mind ... "They ain't gonna keep me off the field tonight." Yeah, I am proud.
