and the flush has left my cheeks, but I'm still grinnin' like a mule eatin' briars, to turn a phrase.
When we went down 9, I'll admit I thought we were cooked. Our body language was terrible, we weren't running any offense, there seemed to be no fire, nobody on the court leading. I texted my dad "We have come too damn far to go out like THIS."
And then our youngest player said F it and went nuclear, and Denver Jones decided to join him, and we defended like banshees and stole Meatchicken's lunch money and dumped them in that nasty dumpster out behind the cafeteria half full with 3-day old turkey tetrazzini headfirst.
And God saw it, and it was good. Because we called him.
Sometimes wins feel like a relief. Other times they feel like a breakthrough.
This one was the latter. That last 12 minutes? Midseason form.
THAT Auburn team beats all comers. ALL. WDE
