For context, my wife had her wisdom teeth removed last Thursday, the 13th. Today on the 17th, she still has numbing on the right side of her tongue. She went back to the dentist today to find out she has nerve damage in her lingual nerve, most likely from the numbing shot needle. The dentist told her today that if she does not have her taste in her tongue in a month, she will have to see a nerve specialist. She also has lockjaw, and will require therapy to fix that issue. The dentist was very apologetic and has only had this happen one other time in his career.

With all of this being said… the therapy and these visits are probably about to get very expensive. Do I have legal grounds to possibly file a malpractice lawsuit against this office? I live in Alabama, if that helps. Thanks, Bunk.
