Our DB's played very aggressive against the run, especially safeties Mathews, Ford, and Ruffin. Mathews was especially physical on tackles.
CDavis makes a really good hustle play on the fumble by Williams, after falling down in coverage, gets back up to help force the fumble.
Williams really took over the 2nd quarter. He had 105 yards on 6 receptions, all against CDavis and JDavis, and also drew a 3rd down PI against JDavis. Williams was targeted 8 times and Holsey defended both of the incompletions, and both in the end zone. The second play by Holsey was spectacular, with perfect timing and technique to rip the ball out, and ultimately save 4 points, as Clemson had to settle for a FG instead.
CDavis also struggled against Scott in the first quarter, giving up a big pass play, but ultimately Clemson turned the ball over on downs.
