the team is 24-2 in what may be a historically good conference. they are 14-2 in q1 wins. no other team is even remotely close. the next highest is 8. again, historically speaking this program is in rare air.
and it’s still not even unanimously #1 in the AP.
if this program had 5 losses like #6 UT does, it wouldn’t even be top 10. maybe not even top 15. #7 aTm has 6 losses.
the voters would punt auburn all the way out of the top 25 if we had 6 losses.
it’s not even certain that auburn will be the #1 overall seed with the media clamoring for it to be duke.
BRUCE needs to be careful to not drop a single game the rest of the year because the voters and bammer dominated committee will use any excuse to drop them off the one seed line.
