With Tenn and Iowa St losing today we are the only team left with a single loss. We are in great shape but with Duke's soft-ass schedule, they will probably jump us for the top overall seed.
KenPom projects them to lose 1 more game and us to lose 3 more.
Their toughest remaining games are a neutral site game against Illinois, who got beat by 10 at home by 69th USC, and a game at Clemson, who got beat by an 0-5 in the SEC USCe.
By contrast, we have 4 remaining away games to KenPom 8, 17, 18, and 19, not to mention 3 home games to 5, 6, and 8. It goes without saying that our schedule is infinitely harder than theirs.
Even if we finish with 1 or 2 more losses than Duke, with our schedule and Q1 wins, we should be top overall seed but not sure that happens with the love Duke continues to get while they pound the terrible ACC.
Top overall doesn't mean a lot other than we would likely play potential Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games in Atlanta instead of Indianapolis, which would be a huge advantage.
