We don’t need them except for the elderly and the immunocompromised. This is for infection and the Gvt wants to lower infections. What the vaccines are for are for serious disease and death. It helps with infections though. I would guess in the future, they recommend yearly shots but you don’t need them to prevent serious disease. Maybe every 6 months for elderly.
