Auburn basketball right now but some outsiders still respect this team….
Rece Davis on The Next Round Live video podcast this morning is asked, “Do you still consider Auburn a national title contender?”…
He immediately responds, “Of course they are….they will be the #1 overall seed so they are an obvious contender…..they are very good and are still the best team in the country.”
“I do wonder how Bruce will approach the SEC Tournament…and I’m not saying they will load manage like some NBA teams do before the playoffs….but that tournament is going to be a grind and the teams that wind up playing 3 or more games are going to feel the effects of that grind. I believe if a top seed loses its first game, privately they may be ok with it because they’ll get more rest that the team that plays 3 games in 3 days.”
Mentioned the ESPN NCAA TOURNAMENT Championship Predictorhas Florida at 8% and Auburn at 15%…
