It seems more sustainable than HS recruiting to me, personally. Jimbo Fisher signed the best recruiting class EVER consisting of HS players and they’re practically all gone already. At least with P5 portal players, you know what to expect performance wise. It would seem smarter to recruit from the portal, because kids aren’t loyal anymore and refuse to sit behind a depth chart or work their way into a starting spot.
