I believe the uga game will be competitive, thanks to our defense.

I don't care what some losers say, that defensive performance against LSU was impressive. Held them to 1 TD, and a bunch of field goals. LSU does suck collective as a team, but their passing offense is no joke. And I have little doubt that LSU's passing offense is superior to uga's passing offense. Although that is the only department LSU is a superior team to them in.

I am very interested to see how this defense does against uga's run game. Outside of that abysmal half against GSU, the Auburn defense has been good against the run. Can they slow/shut down uga's run game? I think so. And if they do, uga is going to have a rough time on offense. Auburn has not played an offense with as good of a run game as uga's yet though. So this is an uncertain factor. And it will be interesting to watch.

Also keep in mind LSU was at their house. This is in Jordan Hare. That helps the defense tremendously. I am confident that the Auburn defense can have a great performance, just like they did the last 3 times uga was in Jordan Hare. Uga had 243 total yards in 15, 230 total in 17, and 251 total yards in 19. I don't see why Auburn can't have another stout defensive performance against uga.

It is also worth mentioning that in those 3 games uga collectively got 7 TD's and only 3 field goals. Steele's and Muschamp's defenses gave up too many TD's in those games. Too many big plays. Mason's defense did an amazing job holding LSU to only 1 TD. They only hit one play over the top, which was the TD of course. I know people have complained about Mason's soft coverage and zone defense approach. But it did limit LSU's big play potential. And it kept them out of the endzone for almost the entire game.

The defense will make this game interesting. But the offense does not give me much confidence. Despite the previous defensive performances I mentioned in 15, 17, and 19, Auburn only won 1 of those games. Because the offense in 15 and 19 were that bad. They couldn't win even with the defense held the opponent to 251 yards or less.

People who are saying this will be a blowout are dumb. This is in Jordan Hare. When was the last time bama, uga,LSU blew Auburn out in Jordan Hare? Like completely curbed stumped them. 2012? And our defense is legit I believe. But I won't pretend like I'm confident Auburn wins this one. The uga defense shut out Arkansas. Completely shut them out, despite having Kendal Briles. I know it's Arkansas, but you'd think they'd be able to score... something.

Should be a competitive game. Lets hope the offense finds ways to make it interesting. Either way, as long as the game is competitive, I'm happy. This is year 1 of a rebuilding program. I look forward to what Harsin is doing.
