Believe it or not, Thorne played well enough to win today despite the terrible awful pick 6 at the end. The in game decisions were asinine and cost us the game…

- Running a speed sweep on 4th and goal from the 1 with a back up transfer QB instead of handing it to our all SEC RB
- Absolutely grotesquely awful clock management at the end of the half to rush our field goal unit on the field
- Electing to kick a 50 yard field goal with a freshman kicker who is obviously not confident after grinding the drive to a halt with RPOs instead of continuing to run the ball and milling the clock with Hunter after his big run and giving a horrible offense a short field
- Not running the ball on the play that resulted in the interception. Payton should know better that you can’t be late over the middle like that but there’s no reason to even give it a chance of happening. Punt the ball and make them drive the length of the field if we don't get it.

Most everyone on this board understood where the roster was last year and patience was absolutely needed but good coaching is supposed to cover up talent deficiencies and right now poor coaching is just compounding them.

I’m not sure if Hugh is a good enough coach on game day to overcome these fatal flaws and mistakes even if he’s given enough time to completely restock the roster.

We outgained them by almost 200 yards and left 13 points on the field today. A pick 6 in the 4th quarter should’ve made it a 2 score game instead of beating you…
