I know that many of you believe the Bible, infallible and inspired by God, in which Paul flat out says that it is not permitted for a woman to have authority over a man or to teach a man. And that part isn't talking about marriage, it's talking about men and women in general. And while you can argue legitimately that, when talking specifically about submission, Paul was referring to marriage only (IOW, he wasn't saying every woman should be submissive to every man), it becomes implied that if a woman out ranks you, her husband outranks you too, and that if she is submitting to him at home, she's not a real leader anyway.
This thinking is antiquated at best, but probably should be considered flat out toxic in our modern society. As Hilary Clinton cruises to the presidency, all Christian men should probably have a "make a sandwich day" where they make a sandwich for the woman in their life to signify that they are willing to be be subordinate to the new president, who is a woman. As LOTR's books famously said, "the world of men is passing", and the time of white males is coming to a close. There will probably never be another white male president. You are not getting your country back, you've had it too long already. You will likely never be subjected to abject slavery like you did to others, but the time is coming where you and your sons will be relegated to economic, social, and politically inferior status. The arc of history bends toward justice, and Barack and Hilary will see to it that the time is coming when generations of white males will be stripped of their privileged status. It is what it is. Accept it and teach your sons how to function and survive under the new rules.
