** Extremely tough loss. Anytime you go on the road in this league against a good opponent, you can't do the things we did.
** Proud that defense blocked field goal and gave us a chance to tie it up, but just couldn't get it done.
** Have to give their QB credit.
** Not going to win many games going 3-14 on third down.
** Having trouble with zone schemes in running game. Tried to get outside and throw more in 2nd half.
** Had some opportunities but close doesn't get it. You've got to make the plays.
** Got to get Jarrett Stidham in a rhythm. Got to seize opportunities.
** Deshaun Davis had a scary leg injury but came back in. We'll get him checked out.
** Huge play in the game on both goal line calls/reviews. That's part of the game and we've got to overcome it.
** Said there was an inadvertent whistle on the muffed punt. Officials said it was simultaneous.
** Pleased with practice this week and focus. Can't make those kinds of mistakes and win on the road. Kids played hard and fought their tails off.
** Got to coach them better and that starts with me.
** Young guys aren't inexperienced anymore so we should start showing improvement.
** MSU ran their speed sweep read well. Had a couple of wrinkles. Fitzgerald is good when he gets going downhill.
** Told team we've got to man up. Our backs are against the wall like last year at this time. Got to get it back going like last year.
