** MSU embarrassed us last year. Lined up and whipped us. That was a tough one.
** Got to have a great week, sense of urgency. Got to play good, physical Auburn football.
** Their RB is very impressive, physical. Both QBs are run threats like last year. Good receivers. Defense aggressive, leads SEC in takeaways. Expecting pressure against Bo Nix.
** Big game for us. Looking forward to playing in front of large and loud crowd.
** Most of the defensive players are back from last year. They don't have to be reminded. Have to respond this year.
** Always a physical game, part of the rivalry.
** MSU rushed for 349 yards last year, held AU to 90. MSU has their attention.
** Hoping to have Derick Hall back this week. We'll see if he practices today.
** Bo Nix is still improving and learning, will continue to get better.
** Got to have guys that can make plays when things break down to win in this league.
** Linebackers are playing physical, tackling well. Played fantastic so far.
** You have to be more patient with a true freshman QB. They need to know that you have their back and you believe in them.
** Being able to run the ball is Bo Nix's best friend. Running game has improved, has potential to keep improving. Nix keeping ball and running 5-6 times per game opens up more things.
** Spencer Nigh has done a great job, playing very physical. Made a great play on Joey Gatewood's TD pass. Had a great block on last play of game to allow Nix to get first down.
** JaTarvious Whitlow is a good inside the tackles runner. He's slowing down more and letting plays develop.
** DJ Williams was on kickoff return last week. Hoping to get him in at RB this week.
** Shedrick Jackson will practice today. Had a high ankle sprain.
** Kenny Dillingham gives a lot of great information during games. Kodi Burns does a good job too, knows the offense inside and out.
** We were going to run Woody against Tulane, but they called timeout.
** James Owen Moss is a very reliable guy that we have a lot of trust in. Did a good job when he was in there.
** Trying to grow Harold Joiner's role each week. Trying to spread the ball to different running backs. Having a fresh Boobee Whitlow in 2nd half was probably one of the keys to the game.
** Kylin Hill is explosive, breaks tackles, a veteran guy. One of best in SEC. Had 126 yards rushing against AU last year.
** Noah Igbinoghene is one of the best competitors we have on our team. He never takes a play off in practice. When he gets banged up, doesn't want to come out of game.
