** Ended fall camp with final practice. In shorts, situational practice. School starts Monday, players get day off.
** Last "scrimmage" was yesterday, focus was on twos and threes. Wanted to see which young guys are ready to help team. Gave Cord Sandberg most of reps.
** Team understands standard. Strained guys, players pushed through. Good leadership.
** Game week routine starts this week. Focus on Oregon.
** Closer to naming starting QB. Going to go back and evaluate all positions over next 24-48 hours.
** First game are unique because there could be changes in offseason. Have to do your homework. Oregon has new defensive coordinator have to prepare for. First game is more about adjustments.
** On not naming QB before first game: "Rather not do that."
** The ones confirmed what they have as a team during camp. Ones got better. More about the twos developing depth. Put QBs in a lot of different situations to evaluate them.
** All the WRs practiced today except for Anthony Schwartz. They've improved. Had a tough day or two but responded to challenge of getting better. Gave them opportunities with the ones to show what they can do.
** Seth Williams has practiced full speed last 2-3 days. He's more mature. Challenging him to take that next step, has responded well.
** Five or six young guys that can help on both sides of football and special teams.
** Veteran group on special teams. Was a strength last year. Expecting a lot from group this season.
** Owen Pappoe will be a major contributor. Impressed by everything with him -- mature, nose for football, plays physical.
** Arryn Siposs is more consistent than last year. Was a huge weapon last year. Has worked extremely hard on sky kicking and done a great job of pinning it down inside the 10 during fall camp.
