Gus' Contract Sign of Where SEC is Going

I get it, the Bunk hates Gus. However, look at Jeremy Pruitt's contract with Tennessee. The guy is getting paid 4.1 million with no head coaching experience and really no high school head coaching experience. Gus is going to make about 45% more than that annually. Maybe you hate Gus and want him gone, maybe you think he shouldn't have gotten a new contract (in which case he'd be coaching in Arkansas), but to me arguing over dollar signs is the wrong way to go. Gus is better than Pruitt making 4 and better than Mullen making 6 million a year. When Saban got 4 million a year that shocked the college football world, but now that number is the baseline of where you start. Think that's crazy? I do. Think a public employee should make that much to coach "amateurs" I don't, but that is where the league is going. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
