When Saban took over at UA, and began his run of extraordinary recruiting dominance, that was bone-crushing to me...as I felt they had capitalized on an opportunity we had missed by holding on to Tubbs for way too long.
We finally put together a staff capable of going toe to toe with the evil empire, and now FSU has become nearly as unstoppable force as UA - and furthermore, they are pwning us head-to-head the past few years.
This is not a crybaby thread, no sir. This is a call to resume the AU / FSU rivalry, which was huge when I was a young kid. I want to beat their asses, straight-up.
It's the best, and most direct way to balance out the head-to-head recruiting with them.
Saban's recruiting has had a crushing effect on our defense over the years. With Gus as HC, there's no way our offense can be crushed, however Jimbo and co sure as hell aren't making it easy.
