DID YOU KNOW? Jordan-Hare's Pat Dye Field has a 1% slope from the center of the field to the sidelines, solely for the purpose of water drainage. Almost all other college football fields use 1/2% slope so as to make it look 'flat'. So our guys should have a 1/2% "home comfort" passing accuracy advantage over visiting opponents. LOL.
The other huge reason J-H field drains even amid a major rain event, is the soil is heavily sand-based, with drains below it that run water to the Auburn sewer system. The field can drain 19-20" of water per hour.
Cow college has NO equal in turf management for game day. NONE.
