Long time lurker, want to get involved in the community so I struck up a new account. Feel free to roast me!
I have a semi-serious question, in hindsight, should we have #StoppedTheSteele ? Or let it ride?
Hindsight is 20/20, I was against Steele, but there was at least a common vision among some of the money back then. Do you think Auburn would have been better off being ushered into modern college sports with the soft landing of Steele?
My thoughts: maybe it could’ve worked, but we’re in this spot either way, most likely. He probably wins 6-8 games and recruits better than Harsin, eventually gets fired and we end up with Hugh anyway. We’re still sitting smack dab in the middle of mediocrity, and Hugh is down to his final chips to stay at the table.
