In no particular order:
-Auburn hosted Florida in 1983. This game was loaded. Auburn was in its first national banner hunt in a long time. Both the Gators and Tigers were stacked with talent, with 20-plus future NFL draft picks on the rosters. As Charley Pell came unglued when a fumble call went against him, Bo Jackson broke a blazing 80-yard TD run. The Tiger defense's fourth-quarter, goal line stand all but clinched the victory.
-Florida was at Auburn in 1993 when the Steve Spurrier-led Gators hoped to topple the undefeated Cinderella squad of Tigers. Auburn's scrappy defense provided a long Pick Six as well as getting to Gator QB Danny Wuerffel all afternoon. Adding to the game's mystique for me was the memory of using the radio to catch a non-televised game. I was homeboun with a bad knee in my Midtown Mobile apartment, afternoon light streaming in. Good time.
-The top-ranked Gators had revenge in mind when still undefeated and sixth-ranked Auburn visited the Swamp in 1994. Auburn's offensive coaches utilized TE Andy Fuller to strategic advantage in staging a late-game comeback that electrified the nation.
