“I watched the whole game between Houston and Auburn. I think that was a football game. It definitely had NCAA tournament vibes. We are going to have our hands full when Auburn comes to Durham. Those guys on average are like 24 years old and are looking to fight you (and even themselves apparently) for every inch on the court.
Broome is going to be a problem on the interior. He will definitely be a big test for Khaman. And other than Khaman, I'm not really sure who we can put on him 1 on 1.
They had a freshman guard, Tahaad Pettiford, looking like Damian Lillard out there too. He was absolutely special in this game vs one of the best, if not THE best, defensive squads out there. We're good on defense, but are we better than Houston right now? Probably not on their level yet. We better be ready.”
“I think Auburn is gonna win the SEC. He had a bad game against Houston but Pearl bringing in JP Pegues from Furman is better than what they had at guard last season. Pearls best teams in the past had small ultra quick guards. Him and Pettiford are just that. Not that is matters until the New Year but they have already jumped to #1 on KenPom. I actually think when they visit Cameron they will be top 3 in the polls and will have just won the Maui Invitational and that field is crazy good this year. I can't wait for that game.”
