My best friend's wife has been in the hospital in Montgomery since Thursday. They still haven't found the cause of her problem. Keep sending for more tests and now sending back for some of the same tests they've already done, in case they missed it the first time. He's contemplating trying to get her to UAB. But didn't really know how that works or if it's possible. He called UAB and they said he would have to ask Baptist for a transfer and is they weren't helpful to talk to a social worker. Can a patient not just chece them self out of a hospital and go to a new one?
