Auburn went to the spread and stuck with some variation of it for the last 17 years, save for 2012 and the Scott “Personnel Guru” Loeffler experiment.
Sometimes I miss field position, ball control, the toss sweep to Casinius Moore, play action to Lorenzo Diamond, and the famed 4-7 defense, in which the down linemen caused so much chaos up front that the back seven could get super creative or otherwise knock someone’s soul out of them.
Could this still work if we recruited at Georgia’s level or close to it?
