Just finished watching the first season of Cross on Amazon Prime. Really good detective drama show. It's based on the Detective Alex Cross character from the James Patterson books made famous by Morgan Freeman in the 90's in the movies Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls. They tried to do a new movie series with Tyler Perry starring as Alex Cross but that didn't go over well.
The show is really good IMO. Aldis Hodge plays Alex Cross in the show. Very dark and it's based early in Cross' career not long after his wife is killed. The main villain has a pretty messed up plan he's been orchestrating for years, the villain role is played by Ryan Eggold from The Blacklist. I'm not sure if S1 was based on a specific book, if so it's one I'm not familiar with.
Anyway, good show. All 8 episodes are out on Amazon Prime now.
