Man, that felt good! Our energy and attitude and focus was so much better than it has been! It helped that Creighton is a little finesse and we were far superior physically, but that's a really good win against a good team that played well. Sweet Sixteen!

Defense was on point all game. They hit a bunch of shots early, but several were off scramble situations or weird bounces. Second half they didn't get those and they didn't make those shots. It always felt like we were going to lock them down and it was so nice to see us play this way. Kalk got going late, but we pretty much let him go 1v1. Creighton's guards were under duress all night long and it made a huge difference. Good game plan, good adjustments, good effort.

Johni Broome really struggled with his shot. Missing open threes, free throws and just looked a little shook. The 7'2 likely had a little to do with it, but it's been a couple games. We need him hitting some outside shots. Today, his teammates lifted him up. They sat the big back and let us set unprotected ball screens and we got mid lane shots all day. First half we missed them. In the second, Chad, Haad, and Denver finished and we pulled away. When they brought the big out to ice, we swung the ball to the post. Thought we were sharp offensively even when the best player in the country struggled.

Michigan is up next and they are good. They have two really good bigs, strong guard play, and Dusty May is a star on the rise. We have some time to get healthy and refocused and it will be a war. Can't wait to watch us in the Sweet Sixteen. See ya'll in Atlanta!
