Let me preface by saying that BrAUce Pearl is unequivocally the best thing to happen to Auburn athletics in the past 15+ years and will always admire him for being genuine and speaking truth. No other Auburn coach would sit and talk to a random Auburn student like me at Little Italy for 30+ mins after a win like Bruce did. With that being said I just cannot shake my dislike of the idea of Auburn as a "basketball school" nor am I able to really get into Auburn Basketball prior to SEC/NCAA tournament season. I don't enjoy watching basketball and never have despite an honest effort to try and get into it and like it. Football is and always will be the unquestioned priority for me.... but I honestly feel like I am failing in my obligations as an Auburn fan and missing out on a lot of enjoyment in the process. Probably never going to change but also feel like I'm the only one like this, esp. among my fellow 20-somethings. Very frustrating, wish Bruce could coach football.
