I’ve shared my view on Cameron. I thought it was a great experience. The Auburn faithful sitting near me expressed similar positive thoughts.
I was surprised to hear Brian and others with a different take…..old, uncomfortable seats, bad bathrooms, bad site lines, etc. My first thought was is this about Cameron or Jordan-Hare. At least Cameron has seat backs and arm rests.
My parking space caused me to walk past Wallace Wade, the Duke Football stadium and I was stunned at how much more contemporary that facility felt compared to J-H. And yes, I understand that Allen, TX HS has a bigger stadium.
Even considering that it was evident that WW has superior amenities to J-H. Better seating, modern food service venues, more polished common spaces, nicer entrances and better integration into the campus.
We better get with it if we want donors to keep delivering the financial support needed in the modern era of collegiate sports.
