My lab hasn’t eaten anything since Sunday night. The 2 weeks before that he wasn’t eating much because he was on house arrest and no exercise from a hurt leg. Those 2 weeks he was on an anti-inflammatory (Carprofen). He has been drinking water and urinating, but won’t even take a lick of peanut butter or any food. He has vomited 3 times since Sunday.
Took him to the vet on Wednesday and they gave him an anti-nausea shot and ran a blood test. Results came back today with extremely high liver levels (ACM? Number around 900. Normally 100ish?). Down about 8-9 lbs from his normal weight.
Any idea or insight on what may be going on? Could the carprofen have such extreme side effects? Hope this makes sense and thanks for the help.
