Since the Bunker has everything (contractors, doctors, lawyers, peeping toms, investment bankers, sex addicts, millionaires, fascists, socialists, dudes who still run a 4.4 at age 40, and at least one openly gay superfan), I am bringing this question to you. My backyard is in a flood plain with a creek running along the rear property line. The creek bed is about 10 feet lower than the top of the creek's bank. Recently, the City of Atlanta undertook a stream bank restoration project where they brought in about 4 loads of rock which they used to bolster the stream bank. The rock sat in a huge (40 feet across by 25 feet high) pile in my backyard for 3 days before it was placed on the creak bank.

Since the work was completed in early August, I have had a constant issue with standing water in the backyard. I've lived in the house for 15 years, and though we've had standing water after heavy rains, it dries up after a couple days. But not anymore. I've had the city and its contractor come out, and they can't figure it out. Anyone have any ideas as to what's causing the marsh in my back yard? All responses are welcome. TIA.
