** Been a good bye week. Goes over players of the game from last week. He's proud of Zierer. His play has gotten better this week and Troxell is back.

** Did some things that we normally do in spring ball and fall camp. Also got a longer look at some young guys. You can see their development in the weight room. Likes the redshirt rule that allows guys to play in four games.

** Watched Ole Miss against LSU. Their offense was on fire, QB played well, defense was good. They're 6-1 for a reason. They're scoring a bunch of punts, running and passing well. Aggressive in 3rd and 4th down situations. Use a multiple front on defense, 2nd in the SEC in sacks and they play physical.

** That was a 9:24 opening statement. Maybe a record. Now onto questions...

** Matt Corral is tough. He's a football player. Throws the ball very well, good on play-action and runs physical for his position. Makes good decisions. Consistent and tough play every week. One of best in country.

** How you play coming off a bye week depends on your team and their mentality. Are we still trying to get better during bye week? I think we did. We didn't take it for granted. Sometimes you want to relax and take that week off but that's not our mentality. We're still learning and developing.

** Ole Miss defense and whole team is getting better. They have momentum. Defense played real physical against LSU. LSU did some things on that first drive and then the OM defense turned it on. They have some unique schemes and they play hard and physical.

** Jeremiah Wright is running now. Wore his shoulder pads the other day. He won't be ready to play this year. Wish he could. When you're coming off an ACL, you want to make sure guys are completely healthy before they return. It's good to see him out there. He's got a vibe and leadership qualities about him that you want on this team. He would be a difference-maker for us if he could play.

** No other season-ending injuries. Expect other guys that have been out to be back this week.

** On vaccine: I'm aware of new policy. Appreciate you have to ask question. Executive order doesn't change that I'm not going to discuss vaccine status for me or anyone else on team.

** Zierer is in position to compete now. One of the hardest things is a guy's been out there fighting for you and gets injured. There's a positive that Zierer stepped up and filled in well. Troxell is back, tough, blue collar, and back ready to compete. He has that mentality to compete.

** The OL took a ton of criticism from pervious season. Still a lot to improve on as every position. They've improved every week and they're taking pride in their development.

** Always working on the run game. We had a chance to work on things. The bye week gave us an opportunity to look at what was good and bad and why, and work against the different looks. You can't decide you're not going to run the ball just because the DL lines up a certain way. We are absolutely working to get better in the run game.

*****THAT'S ALL*****
