We're talking to BP as he previews Ohio State:
- "It's always an interesting month during the season when school gets out and we have another week and a half of basketball... we've got a couple guys that will graduate mid-semester (Johni Broome and Chaney Johnson)."
- "Ohio State is one of the best three point shooting teams in the country. They've got four guards that shoot it at a really high percentage... we're going to have to extend defensively"
- "We have a slight advantage in size." Pearl mentioned that they don't know the status of Kentucky transfer Aaron Bradshaw
- "You've got to make this team beat you from two and not from three... they're really good in transition... we have to do a good job offensively of not turning the ball over."
- KenPom mentioned by Bruce!
- Pearl said that they've had shorter practices this week because of finals and how much they played over the past two weeks
- Pearl said that their defense has been great outside of the Duke game - the one they lost
- Asked about Miles Kelly, Pearl said that he's taken advantage of not being the main focal point on the scouting report and not having to play as many minutes: "When he was at Georgia Tech he was option one and two. Here, he's one of our top options."
- Asked about Denver Jones: "You may not notice him as much in the stat sheet, but coaches notice him as one of the best defenders in the country."
- "He got his rotation spot back."
- Pearl said that Jahki was in good standing after 2-3 games and is in good standing and has handled it the right way
- He added that because Jahki missed so many reps, putting him back in the rotation for Maui and Duke wasn't the best move for him
- On Jahki: "He plays very hard. His motor runs. He's very athletic."
- On Johni's (and Dylan's) passing: "They both have got good enough skills to playmaker and make really good passes. It's a skill you have to work on."
- Pearl said it's "pick your poison" with Johni and that Richmond chose to double
