Auburn coach Bruce Pearl is speaking to the media this afternoon to preview Tuesday night's game at Vanderbilt and also discuss Saturday's loss to Florida. Click refresh, will continue to update...

** Pearl opens talking about us covering the best league in college basketball.

** Auburn has won 7 of 8 against Vandy, but prior to that lost 13 in a row. Pearl says VU coach Mark Byington does a great job. Got nine players out of transfer portal. Made a huge NIL commitment.

** Jason Edwards is an all-you-can-handle guard. AJ Hoggard one of best guards in SEC. They are really good defensively and they turn you over by pressing and playing really hard.

** VU has beaten Tennessee and Kentucky at home, played Florida close in Gainesville.

** We missed 40 shots against Florida, missed seven free throws in second half. They had guys step up off the bench against us. They banged in 13 3FG, reminds Pearl of what Auburn did at Ole Miss.

** Pearl mentions how tough and different it is having the benches on the ends of the court. It's a "big advantage" for Vandy.

** Johni Broome is getting better but the ankle is not 100 percent. He's not at greater risk for injury. Johni has not complained one bit. There are other players on other rosters that might want to wait until he's 100 percent so he'd look better, but Johni just wants to be out there and play as hard as he can. They are limiting his workload right now.

** Chad Baker-Mazara has been really banged up. This league has never been this good or this physical. He's getting banged around.

** Vandy's big are a little undersized but they're built like football players. It's a good roster.

*****THAT'S ALL*****
