The evil elf is the best recruiter in college football - coaching not so much. There is a reason why the elf did not last long as an NFL HC. Little Nicki does not like coaching in a league where every team is allowed to pay its players.

You have no data to support that theory- and it shows so much LBS that goobers continue with this line.

In his second year the 2008 Bama team went 12-0 and was ranked #1 with Shula's talent. No recruiting class was ranked greater than 40. Mainly 2-3** recruits. It was one of the greatest coaching jobs in college history.

The Master and GOAT has won the NC at different schools, with a different set of offensive coordinators and QBs, different star players every time. Sometimes RBs, sometimes WRs...even a TE...or a Kicker running the most perfect on-sides play in history. He wins with what he has.

In fact, his defensive schemes on Xs-Os are what make his teams special. Only goobers deny his greatness now and we love it! It was the same with Bryant.

Conversely, it can be proven absolutely that Gus is dependent on a particular type of talent to run his offense. Without a fast running QB to run the keeper on the read option- Gus's offense aren't any better than Kentucky or Vandy. That's a fact.. Considering that he cant find a DC to make up for his shortcomings as a HC...then AU is basically fvcked... and you know it.

You and everyone on this board were excited with the possibilities of AU firing Gus. You still are.
