Well Bunk I checked with a few sources today and below is a list of recruits I feel really good about joining our class:
LB Trevin Wallace - This soon to be 4 star is one of the fastest rising prospects in the southeast and has had an outstanding Senior season in South Georgia.
Buck LB Byron Young - Young was a virtual unknown to most people around the country until GMI released some of tape from last year and some scrimmage highlights from this fall against another Juco where he was flat out dominate. After a who’s who list of offers from multiple SEC and ACC schools, Young will likely be ranked the number 1 Juco DL in the country and I feel really good about him signing with us in December. Current top 3 of Tennessee, FSU, and us.
DB Donte Balfour - Balfour is another fast rising prospect that has really had a stellar Senior season and has earned offers from USCe, Ole Miss, Missouri, and us and now Clemson, Michigan, and FSU are all potentially close to offering as well. Balfour is an extremely versatile DB and is someone that’s trending heavily toward committing and signing with us in December.
Grad Transfer OL Eric Wilson - Wilson holds offers from us, FSU, Minnesota and LSU and Boston College are close to offering. Wilson is viewed by some as a legitimate NFL prospect that’s just looking for a larger platform to elevate his draft stock. Wilson’s set to visit this weekend and should everything go well my expectation is that he could commit in the not to distant future.
Buck George Wilson - This long rangy Buck target is probably correctly ranked as a high 3 star because he’s still raw and a little light but man he’s got some really great tools to work with as well as the kind of speed and quickness you can’t teach. Currently committed to USC, it sounds like Wilson could be decommiting soon and that his top schools currently are us, Penn State, UNC, and FSU. I’m not ready to say he lands at Auburn just yet, but I like the trajectory of the way his recruitment is headed. Highlights below for those that haven’t seen him play:
