We played well. Outstanding defensive effort against a very dangerous team. They shot lights out from 3 in the first half and couldn't get separation. The defensive effort under 10 minutes was lock down. Great emphasis on rebounding even from the guards. Cardwell was a force on D. Tahaad may be a natural 2 and more of a scorer, but watching him with the ball in his hands protecting a lead is a thing of beauty. So much good tonight. Especially CBM getting aggressive again.
Finally, my apologies to Johni for my original take on his game tonight. His offensive game and free throws are off right now. No complaint about his effort, though. He fought his ass off all night and I thought he got hammered a few times without getting the call. Not complaining to refs after every questionable call or no call may help us moving forward, but he definitely played hard.
