We are going to be fine. The coaching staff we have on campus is excellent and Coach Malzahn is at Auburn because he is one of the best coaches in the world. Many here question the decisions made by these guys, whether it be personnel, play calling, culture, and who to recruit. Let's be very clear. These men are where they are because they are very good at what they do. Every one of them. They are competitive as hell. They are not coaches at Auburn University in the SEC by accident. Now I am not saying each of our coaches is the best in the game...that's not realistic, but they are more knowledgeable than you, or me, or any journalist out there. To suggest they don't know who their best guys are is ludicrous! To suggest that they are more dedicated to individuals than the team being successful is ludicrous! You want Auburn to win football games and so do I. Those coaches, and players, want that so much more than most of you could ever possibly imagine. Just because the product some of you want, and demand, is not what you thought it would be to this point does not make that any less true.
We are 2-1 with a loss to a solid LSU team that has out recruited us for years. Nobody needs to be fired. Changes need to be made and they will be. Some of you act like you believe you're entitled to national championships every year and it's just not that easy. Its time for Auburn fans to have a little faith in Auburn and be Auburn fans. Believe in it and love it or shut the hell up. I repeat...we are going to be fine.
