Every year we have players that emerge or do more than was expected from them according to preseason expectations.
For example.. Noah Igbinoghene wasn’t listed in any preseason defense all-sec lists, yet he emerged as one of the best CB in the NFL draft. Also, Jack Driscoll being drafted ahead of Tega was certainly not expected.
I think that creates an interesting dynamic when viewing who is returning and what is expected from them AND who is returning and what is unknown about what they will provide.
Obviously, there are players that will have high expectations and underachieve. But the point of this thread is to highlight the guys that don’t necessarily have high expectations and achieve much more than expected.
To wrap this up.. I think some people are not sure what to expect from the 2020 AU Football season. We don’t have Derrick Brown or Prince Tega to look to on the Preseason All-SEC list. We replace them with Bo Nix and KJ Britt, but who will replace Driscoll or Noah... that is possibly a more important question.
